  • WHEN: Aug. 4-31, 2018
  • WHERE: Arlington, Bedford, Fort Worth, and White Settlement (See schedule below.)

August is National Immunization Awareness Month, and a great opportunity to make sure children’s vaccinations are up to date before school.

ICTC will provide Texas Vaccines for Children (TVFC) low-cost vaccinations ($8 for one shot and $24 for three or more shots per child) for children who have no health insurance, are underinsured (insurance coverage with a cap on vaccines), or are covered by the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) or Medicaid. Cash, check, CHIP, and Medicaid are accepted as payment. Children who have health insurance that covers vaccines should see their physician.

Adult Safety Net Program vaccines for adults (19 years and older) with no health insurance will be available for a $25 fee per vaccine.

ICTC is made up of individuals, agencies and organizations, public and private, committed to eradicating vaccine-preventable childhood diseases in Tarrant County. ICTC projects directly improve the health and well-being of children, adolescents, and adults through low-cost immunization eventsand community education about the importance of childhood immunizations.

ICTC collaborates with TMA’s Be Wise ― Immunize program, which has given more than 340,000 shots to Texas children, adolescents, and adults since the program began in 2004. Funding for Be Wise — Immunize is provided in 2018 by the TMA Foundation thanks to generous support from H-E-B, TMF Health Quality Institute, Pfizer Inc., and gifts from physicians and their families.
