Abilene Physician Reelected to Represent Texas at AMA

Brad G. Butler, MD, an Abilene anesthesiologist in practice for 12 years, was reelected today to represent Texas doctors as a delegate in the American Medical Association (AMA) House of Delegates, the national organization’s policymaking body. The Texas Medical Association’s (TMA) House of Delegates elected Dr. Butler today in San Antonio during TexMed, TMA’s annual conference.

As part of the Texas state delegation to AMA, he helps make policy recommendations to the national body on behalf of Texas doctors.

Dr. Butler is a member of the Big Country County Medical Society.

TMA is the largest state medical society in the nation, representing more than 51,000 physician and medical student members. It is located in Austin and has 110 component county medical societies around the state. TMA’s key objective since 1853 is to improve the health of all Texans.
