By now you probably have at least heard about telemedicine, which allows physicians to meet with patients by electronic means outside a traditional office visit.
But, if you’re like many physicians, you probably have a lot of questions: Is telemedicine for me? How do I use it in my practice? How do I bill and get paid for it?
Well, TMA’s new seminar, TELEMEDICINE: How to Implement Virtual Care and e-Visits in Your Practice, can provide answers to those questions, and many others, including:
- How telemedicine can change health care delivery;
- Specifics of providing telemedicine services;
- Getting paid for telemedicine services;
- New terminology you need to know; and
- Current law and Texas Medical Board rules.
The best news is that the seminar counts for 3.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits and 1 hour of ethics.
The seminar will be held from 9 am to 12:30 pm Feb. 6 in San Antonio at the Bexar County Medical Society headquarters, 4334 N. Loop 1604 West, suite 200.
If you can’t make it in person, register for a live stream on March 6. The live stream will allow you to watch and even ask questions from the comfort of your home or office.
As always, TMA has a ton of information on telemedicine on its website.
