Looking for a way to be a part of TexMed 2018 in May?

Volunteer now for the TMA Foundation  25th Anniversary Gala, which will be held in conjunction with TMA’s annual meeting, TexMed 2018, in May.

Up to 50 Texas medical students volunteer each year at the gala, which features a cocktail reception, a seated dinner, live music and dancing, and the opportunity to network with more than 500 physicians and community and business leaders from across Texas.

Volunteers also help raise funds to support TMA and Family of Medicine health improvement programs, including medical student chapter community projects.

Volunteer duties could include:

  • Assisting with event décor set-up;
  • Overseeing other volunteers;
  • Guest check-in at registration;
  • Guest check-out for silent and live auction winnings;
  • Mobile and live auction bidding assistance; and
  • Make-A-Difference drive bid recording.

This year’s gala is scheduled for 6:30 to 10:30 pm Friday, May 18, at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa.

Volunteer shifts are available from noon to 4 pm, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm, and from 8 to 11 pm. Any amount of time you can spare is appreciated.
