TMA to Vaccinate Kids for School in August

  • WHAT: During National Immunization Awareness Month, Texas Medical Association’s (TMA’s) Be Wise — ImmunizeSM program supports vaccination clinics across the state to prepare children for school and prevent harmful and potentially deadly diseases. 

  • WHEN: Aug. 5-Sept. 1, 2017

  • WHERE: Your community and others across the state (See schedule below.) 

  • WHO: TMA physicians, TMA Alliance members, and community organizations

August is National Immunization Awareness Month, and a good time to make sure your child’s vaccinations are up to date. TMA physicians and TMA Alliance members, and local organizations will offer free or low-cost vaccinations in their communities to prepare kids to return to school.

TMA’s Be Wise ― Immunize program has given more than 315,000 shots to Texas children, adolescents, and adults since the program began in 2004. Funding for Be Wise — Immunize is provided in 2017 by the TMA Foundation thanks to generous support from H-E-B andTMF Health Quality Institute, along with gifts from physicians and their families.

8/5      
Event: North Texas Wellness Fair (open to the public; free sponsored vaccines for eligible children, and adult Tdap) [Please bring immunization record.]
