Recognition of Medical Service in Times of Armed Conflict: The Texas Medical Association recognizes the contributions and achievements of physicians, nurses, medics, and corpsmen who serve the United States of America in times of armed conflict. TMA encourages the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to work with Texas physicians to eliminate bureaucratic barriers, such as slow payment and lack of interaction between the VA and the private sector, so private-sector physicians can help get veterans the timely care they need(Res. 28C, p 129, A-95; amended BOT Rep. 10-A-05; amended BOT Rep. 15-A-15).
