145.001Health Insurance Availability: The Texas Medical Association calls upon the AMA to ensure that any Congressional action that will impact the costs and organization of the American healthcare delivery system shall eliminate any disparity between the availability and cost of health insurance plans available to all Americans and those available to members of Congress and employees of the federal government per the Federal Employees Healthcare Act of 1959. In addition, TMA urged the AMA to keep the Federation of Medicine and the American public informed of its singular efforts to champion the health care and health insurance needs of members of Congress and employees of the federal government (Res. 28Y, p 179C, A-93; deleted CSE Rep. 6-A-03).
