Providing Vaccines Free-of-Charge: The Texas Medical Association supports the provision of vaccines free-of-charge for patients who meet the eligibility requirements of the Vaccines for Children program administered by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) with the stipulation that physicians and other providers may only charge an administrative fee and not a fee for the cost of the vaccine.
