30.032 Nursing Standards on Resuscitation


Nursing Standards on Resuscitation: Nurses who work in long-term care facilities should not be required to initiate cardiopulmonary resuscitation for a patient who has had an unwitnessed arrest if the patient is unresponsive, has neither respirations nor pulse, has fixed and dilated pupils, hypothermia, and generalized cyanosis (CHSO Rep. 3-A-03; reaffirmed CHSO Rep. 1-A-13).
