Is MACRA Worth Your While?

Does it make financial sense for your practice to participate in the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA) programs?

Some Texas physicians tell TMA they would rather absorb the penalties in Medicare payments than restructure their practices to report costs and quality measures under the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS). Use this new TMA tool, for TMA members only to help you estimate some of the costs or revenues that may result from participating in MIPS reporting programs.

Note that this tool is based on the MACRA rule as proposed by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on May 9, 2016. TMA will update the tool after CMS publishes a final rule.
