The Walk With a Doc concept is simple: Physicians organize walks in their communities and invite their patients and their patients’ families to join them. Walk With a Doc is overseen by a national nonprofit organization to get people active and healthy.

“Walking is one of the easiest and most effective ways to increase overall health,” said Dr. Fay. “As an obstetrician-gynecologist, I want to help my patients (moms) encourage active lifestyles in their families and remind them they also are taking care of themselves.

Family physician Cecily Kelly, MD, will discuss how an active lifestyle can help with common medical problems including hypertension, diabetes, and heart disease.

This is a FREE program, and preregistration is not required. Future walks will be announced via the Walk With a Doc website.
