  • WHO:  Tyler physician Li-Yu Mitchell, MD; Smith County Medical Society; and YOU (Tyler community members interested in participating)

The Walk With a Doc concept is simple: Physicians organize walks in their communities and invite their patients and their patients’ families to join them. Walk With a Doc is overseen by a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to encourage healthy physical activity in people of all ages, and reverse the consequences of a sedentary lifestyle to help improve people’s health and well-being.

This event will conclude Dr. Mitchell’s first year hosting Walk With a Doc Texas events, with walks every Thursday evening. At each walk, Dr. Mitchell and her colleagues address different health topics and answer questions. To culminate her final walk of the summer this Thursday, Dr. Mitchell and Smith County Medical Society are giving away some fantastic prizes. Come early to get signed up!
