2015 Make-A-Difference Results

Nearly 5,300 young Texans will be protected from serious or life-threatening head injury thanks to a generous matching grant that donors won for TMA Foundation (TMAF) by participating in the foundation's Make-A-Difference drive!

The quick-paced fundraising effort took place at TMAF's 22nd annual gala, held May 1 at the Hilton Austin during TMA's TexMed meeting. The Make-A-Difference drive raised $29,625 for TMA's award-winning initiative, Hard Hats for Little Heads, and earned a $10,500 match from an anonymous physician and his spouse-totaling a record $40,125 for the award-winning program! This is the fourth year this anonymous couple had offered this generous matching grant. Each year it has inspired dozens of donors to join them in teaching little Texans learn the value of prevention by wearing a bike helmet. See the list of donors to this and the annual Star Campaign in the ad that ran in the September issue of Texas Medicine.
