Latest CDC Texas HPV Vaccination Report Focuses on New 9-Valent Vaccine

Did you know that at its February meeting, the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommended the 9-valent human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine as one of three HPV vaccines that can be used for females and one of two vaccines that can be used for males?

You'll find details on the new vaccine, along with Texas-specific information, in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC's) third quarter HPV vaccination report.

CDC hopes that highlighting Texas-specific data will help immunization stakeholders and physicians develop strategies that increase HPV vaccination rates. The first quarter report focused on key recommendations for preventing missed HPV vaccination opportunities in Texas. The second quarter report focused on the importance of the clinician recommendation for HPV vaccination.
