Answers to Your Questions About the ACA Marketplace Re-enrollment

“Hey, Doc” is back to help Texas’ patients and reporters understand the 2015 Affordable Care Act (ACA) health insurance marketplace. Open enrollment begins Nov. 15.

The Texas Medical Association (TMA) launched “Hey, Doc” last fall to answer patients’ most frequently asked questions about the ACA marketplace so they could better navigate the enrollment process. In all, we provided answers to more than 30 questions.

TMA will continue to provide pertinent, objective, timely content each week for your use. We want to ensure you have the answers you need to inform your readers, viewers, and listeners.

Marketplace open enrollment for health insurance is fast approaching. Texans can enroll or re-enroll from Nov. 15 to Feb.15, 2015.

You can find each week’s Q&A and a lot more information at Heydoc.texmed.org as well as in TMA’s patient blog, MeAndMyDoctor.com.

TMA is the largest state medical society in the nation, representing more than 47,000 physician and medical student members. It is located in Austin and has 112 component county medical societies around the state. TMA’s key objective since 1853 is to improve the health of all Texans.
