Texas Leaders Meet to Focus on Healthy Vision for State

  •  WHAT: Top leaders and health care and media experts will gather in Bastrop to discuss the Texas Medical Association’s (TMA’s) vison and develop strategies for a strong, effective, and efficient health care system that will enhance the physical health of Texans and the economic health of the state.  

    TMA Fall Conference features a legislative health care update and a forecast of the upcoming elections and their potential effects on patients and physicians. Also on the agenda is a discussion of TMA’s Healthy Vision 2020, the association’s outline to meet Texas’ health care challenges and care for patients in a time of change; and a presentation on Choosing Wisely®, the physician-led campaign creating a national conversation about doing the right thing at the right time for patients, and avoiding unnecessary care.
