Do you ever wonder how TMA physician leaders and staff develop association policies? A new webinar, "How TMA Makes Policy," gives you a peek behind the curtain to see how it's done.
The free 15-minute webinar introduces you to the way in which your association develops and implements policy and demonstrates the fundamentals of TMA, its structure, and its policymaking process. It's part of the TMA Leadership Series, a collection of free leadership webinars that provide physician training, no matter where in Texas they live.
The series, sponsored by Pfizer, was originally conceived as part of the TMA Leadership College course curriculum, but it's now posted online for all to view. TMA House of Delegates Speaker Stephen Brotherton, MD, introduces the webinar.
Two more free webinars will be offered in the next few weeks. They are "Rules, Rights, and Powers: A Look at County Medical Society Bylaws," presented by TMA Senior Counsel Holly Alt, JD; and "How to Run an Effective Meeting," presented by Dallas emergency physician Robert Strauss, MD.
