Federal Legislative Priorities

The top three federal legislative priorities, as rated "very important" by respondents to TMA's latest survey, are Medicare payments, opposition to any proposal to make participation in Medicare a condition of licensure, and revising or eliminating some provisions of the health system reform law.

Are these your top three federal legislative priorities? What are your state and public health priorities? Let us know by responding to TMA's October survey.

If you have not received this survey or any other survey in our 2010 series, please e-mail Jessica Davis.

The first 500 physicians who complete all of TMA's monthly surveys will receive the book Switch: How to Change Things When Change Is Hard by Dan and Chip Heath with 4.5 hours of free continuing medical education credit and a Texas Medical Liability Trust discount up to $1,000. Plus, any respondent who completes every survey will be entered into a drawing for one of five Apple iPads or Dell tablet PCs.
