COVER STORY
Helping Haiti
Dozens of Texas physicians and medical students, along with nurses and other health care professionals, rushed to Haiti to help the injured after the January earthquake. Many went as part of organized missions, and most paid their own way. Some stayed only three or four days, others as long as two weeks. All said they felt compelled to go and use their skills to help people. By Ken Ortolon
