Meaningful Use

  • What is the Meaningful Use Program?

    MU

Beginning in 2011, the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs were established to encourage eligible professionals and eligible hospitals to adopt, implement, upgrade (AIU), and demonstrate meaningful use of certified EHR technology. The EHR Incentive Program is complex in requiring physicians to meet varied and more difficult stages as they progress through the multiyear program. TMA encourages physicians to tap into our available resources to make wise decisions regarding EMR selection and implementation.
