For the 60th year, TMA honored journalists for excellence in health reporting with the TMA Anson Jones, MD, Awards. TMA physicians presented the awards in the journalists’ newsrooms.
The awards recognize print, broadcast, and online journalists from across the state in 11 categories, including the Texas Health Journalist of the Year. A physician journalist also is recognized.
Journalists may self-submit their works or be nominated by a TMA member physician or medical student, county medical society, or TMA Alliance member.
The awards are named after pioneer physician, statesman, and prolific writer Anson Jones, MD.
