On April 29 TMA Foundation celebrated its 23rd annual gala, As Time Goes By: An Evening in Casablanca, at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas. Nearly 500 persons attended to support the award-winning health initiatives that TMAF makes possible including Hard Hats for Little Heads, Texas Medical Association Diversity in Medicine Scholarship, Walk With a Doc Texas and county medical society, alliance and medical student chapter outreach initiatives. The event raised more the $360,000.
Host City Chairs, Lee Ann Pearse, MD and her husband, Einar Vagnes, are long-time volunteers and Major Donors to the foundation. They have worked to bring medicine, business and community together in support of TMAF-funded programs.
Guests were delighted with silent and live auctions, a specialty cocktail station provided by Frost 321 and live music by Hunter Sullivan and his band.
More than 60 volunteers – medical student members from every Texas medical school, accompanied by TMA and TMAA members – helped to ensure the event was a success.
