Welcome to San Antonio! Join your friends and colleagues from across the state for a Presidents’ welcoming reception at the historic Menger Hotel. Originally built in 1859 on the site of Texas’ first brewery, the Menger Hotel is the oldest continuously operating hotel west of the Mississippi!

Speaker Showcase

Watson Arnold, MD
Watson Arnold earned his M.D. from UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and a Ph.D. in History from TCU. A sixth-generation Texan, Dr. Arnold grew up in Waco, and he continues to oversee the family farm and ranch. He now resides in Fort Worth, where he is a retired pediatric surgeon from Cook’s Children’s hospital. He teaches the History of Medicine part-time at several colleges: North Texas Medical Branch in Fort Worth; Texas Tech Health Science Center in Lubbock; and at TCU. Currently, he is the vice president of the Historic Waco Foundation and on the Board of Directors for the Fort Worth Library.

Robert Earley
After graduating from the University of North Texas, Robert Earley returned to his South Texas hometown of Portland to run for the Texas House of Representatives. After a special election runoff, a primary election and primary runoff, and eventually the general election, Robert won his race and became a representative in the Texas House at the age of 23. After five terms in the Texas House, Robert retired from legislative service at the age of 33. Robert now finds himself as the president and CEO for the JPS Health Network in Fort Worth. Always humorous, let Robert wake you up with his laugh-out-loud tales of life in the Texas House.

Michael Williams
Mike Williams serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Community Hospital Corporation in Plano. A frequent national speaker, Mike brings more than 30 years of executive management, board relationship management and an understanding and passion for the not-for-profit mission. Prior to being the founding executive of CHC, Mike served as President of the Baptist Hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee, EVP and COO of The Children’s Medical Center and Vice President for Baylor University Medical Center, both in Dallas, Texas. Mike graduated from the University of Alabama and holds a Master’s Degree in Health Administration from the Medical Center in Birmingham where he was named outstanding alumnus in 2003.
