Fort Worth Couple To Lead 2014 Gala
Known locally, statewide and nationally for their leadership and effectiveness, Fort Worth's Dr. Joe and Susan Todd chaired the 21st annual Texas Medical Association Foundation (TMAF) gala, on May 2, 2014. The Todds, who are major donors to TMA Foundation, brought the resources of medicine, business, and community together to create a highly successful event so that TMA initiatives can reach more Texans in need.
Joe Mack Todd, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon in a private practice in Fort Worth and has been involved in TEXPAC for more than 20 years, during which time he has served as its chairman, on the TEXPAC Board of Directors and Executive Committee and as chair of the Candidate Evaluation Committee. At Tarrant County Medical Society, he has served as president as well as chairman of the Board of Trustees. Dr. Todd is past-chair of the Tarrant County Delegation to the TMA House of Delegates and serves on the Development Board of Project Access Tarrant County.
Susan Todd is a past president of the American Medical Association Alliance, as well as the TMA Alliance, the volunteer organization of TMA physicians' spouses. She also is a past president of the TMA Foundation and currently serves on its Advisory Council. In addition, Susan is a Registered Nurse and has held numerous leadership positions in the Tarrant County Medical Society Alliance and civic groups, including the Fort Worth chapter of the American Heart Association.
