About the Subcommittee for Academic Physicians

The subcommittee’s work focuses on the following three charges:

  1. Representing the unique concerns and interests of academic physicians;
  2. Informing the Council on Medical Education, TMA members, and policy-makers of policy issues of primary importance to physicians in academic medicine; and
  3. Exploring and implementing activities, programs, and services to allow TMA to better serve the needs and interests of academic physicians.

Through three regularly scheduled meetings each year, the subcommittee focuses its efforts on activities that support physicians who have made a commitment to preparing the next generation of physicians.  Examples of the subcommittee’s work are included on this website
