Physicians are invited to attend the Test Texas HIV Coalition Summit Dec. 3-4 at the Marriott Airport South Hotel in Austin. The goal of the free program and the coalition is to enhance health care professionals' ability to integrate routine HIV testing in public health, emergency, corrections, and primary care settings to comply with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations.
Speakers will include TMA member John T. Carlo, MD, medical director for the Dallas County Health and Human Services Department, and Bernard Branson, MD, associate director for laboratory diagnostics in the CDC Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention. They will cover a wide array of issues you may encounter when implementing routine HIV testing.
