The Texas Medical Liability Trust (TMLT) has a new colleague referral program called Entrust. TMLT-insured physicians referring three colleagues to TMLT will receive a free three-hour TMLT continuing medical education online course, "Ten Things That Get Physicians Sued." Completing the course earns physicians a 3-percent premium credit (up to $1,000) at their next policy renewal.
Later in the year, myTMLT, the soon-to-be-launched Members Only section on the TMLT Web site, also will have Entrust so policyholders can participate at their convenience. Each year at policy renewal, TMLT policyholders receive a renewal kit. The kit will include an Entrust brochure to fill out and mail back. Renewing policyholders also will receive instructions for providing referrals on myTMLT. Additionally, policyholders may supply their referrals by phone or e-mail.
