TMAF 2010 Gala

Texas Legends a Trail Blazing Success!

On April 30, more than 500 physicians, their spouses and corporate sponsors enjoyed a Texas-sized bash at Texas Medical Association Foundation's 17th annual benefit, held in conjunction with TMA's TexMed. Benefit Co-chairs Dr. and Mrs. James Herd, Fort Worth, and Dr. and Mrs. David Donahue, Fort Worth, mixed and mingled with guests and sponsors alike during the pre-dinner reception while perusing the foundation's silent auction, raffle and first ever wine pull auction. Texas' own medical legends, Dr. Susan Rudd Bailey, Susan Todd, D'Anna Wick and Doris Johnson were recognized for the amazing contributions they've brought to our state.

Featuring musical entertainment from cowboy troubadour, Yancy Stevens, and the ever cool Center Stage Band, this year's benefit kept guests boogying on the dance floor until the doors closed!
The evening's proceeds benefit TMA Foundation, and the TMA and TMA Alliance programs it supports, including: Be Wise - ImmunizeSM, Hard Hats for Little Heads, Ernest and Sarah Butler Awards for Excellence in Science Teaching, and TMA's Minority Scholarship Program. Final results from the benefit will be released later this summer.
