The bulletins examine relevant issues unique to the U.S.-Mexico border region and offer the latest in reports, studies, white papers, and health events related to the border that may interest physicians, researchers, and other health professionals.

The United States and Mexico created the commission in 2000 to address health problems and improve the quality of life of the residents along the 2,000-mile border. The commission is composed of the secretaries of health, the chief health officers of the 10 border states, and prominent community health professionals from both nations.
