Do you know an outstanding medical educator deserving recognition? If so, you may nominate him or her to receive the TIAA-CREF Distinguished Medical Educator Award. Nominations are accepted until Aug. 15.
Any Texas medical educator is eligible to receive the award. The ideal candidate has a history of significant contributions to medical education and has impacted medical education both nationally and internationally. Eligible nominees are medical (teaching physician) or nonmedical (nurse, doctorate, or equivalent professional designation).
TIAA-CREF, in partnership with The Health Museum, will honor one recipient at an awards ceremony in the fall. The winner will receive a $10,000 honorarium, and 12 scholarships will be donated in his or her name to students attending The Health Museum's Mini Medical School Summer Camp.
TIAA-CREF is a financial services company that specializes in retirement investments for those in the academic, research, medical, and cultural fields.
