COVER STORY (pages 16-22)

Electronic Medicine
President Obama's economic stimulus plan includes $19 billion to help physicians purchase and implement health information technology systems. Physicians will be eligible for funds from 2011 through 2016 if they demonstrate "meaningful use" of a certified EMR technology. Now all the government has to do is define "meaningful use."  By Crystal Conde
