McGovern Foundation Supports TMAF Again

Keywords: Immunization  Public_Health

For the third year, the John P. McGovern Foundation in Houston has approved a $10,000 challenge grant to the TMA Foundation (TMAF) as the basis of its Star/Superstar campaign. Star/Superstar raises unrestricted funds to ensure that tens of thousands of Texans continue to receive access to vital health prevention and awareness programs delivered by TMA physicians and their families.

Visit the TMAF Web site to learn more about this critically important grant and how your matching gift, at any level, will ensure that young Texans receive bike helmets to prevent brain injury, that youngsters and teens receive lifesaving immunizations, and much more.

"We are living in challenging times, but Dr. McGovern's grant and your participation will give Texans the hope they need for a healthier future," said TMAF President Susan Todd.

More information about TMAF activities are in the first 2009 issue of the foundation's newsletter, Solutions [PDF].
