Physicians can sign up for the state's new
Foster Care Health Plan
scheduled to roll out April 1. All children in Child Protective
Services foster care will have their medical, dental, vision, and
behavioral health care covered through the STAR Health Program for
Children in Foster Care, administered by Superior Health Care
Network.
The program includes:
- An Internet-based health passport for each child,
- Expedited enrollment,
- Improved access to services,
- A medical home for every child,
- Service coordinators, and
- A 24-hour nurse hotline.
