Eight in 2008! For the second consecutive year, the TMA Minority Scholarship Program is offering $5,000 scholarships to eight qualified incoming Texas medical students. The scholarships are provided through a grant from the TMA Foundation, the philanthropic arm of TMA.
If you know of Hispanic, African-American, or Native American students who will be entering a Texas medical school next fall, please encourage them to apply. Scholarship criteria and an application are available online at www.tmaloanfunds.com. Completed applications must be received by April 7. Recipients will be notified at the end of April, and the scholarships will be presented on May 3 during TexMed 2008 in San Antonio.
