The Committee on Physician Health and Rehabilitation believes that education is the path to recognition, and thus assistance, for physicians who need help with substance use disorders, depression, cognitive impairment, or other problems that may disrupt professional and/or personal lives.
The PHR committee offers several one-hour courses, all of which have been designated as ethics and/or professional responsibility education. Courses are given upon request to county medical societies, hospitals, and other entities.
They also are available on the TMA website and as home study materials. An administrative fee is charged for all venues.
