According to CMS, 70 percent of the enrollment applications submitted to Medicare carriers are incomplete. Most commonly, applicants skip entire application sections. If the section or data element does not apply, you should indicate this on the application by either writing "N/A" or "not applicable" in the data field or checking the boxes marked "check here if this entire section does not apply."
