Would you like to earn CME credit for improving patient care? You can! Simply identify a clinical or health business question, search evidence-based databases available through TMA, and describe applicable findings on the online evaluation form.

The Texas Medical Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.  TMA designates this educational activity for a maximum .5 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.  Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. This activity is provided for free by the TMA Knowledge Center.

If you don’t have your user name and password, find it online or call the Knowledge Center. If you aren't sure how to use TMA e-resources, view our tutorial.

Anyone who completes TMA-sponsored CME now has the ability to view and print personal CME transcripts for any TMA-sponsored CME activity. Generally, credits for live, internet, and home-study activities will be available for viewing and printing within two weeks of receipt.    Please note that for home studies and internet courses your CME activity date on the transcript will reflect the date received by TMA, while live activities reflect the date of the activity.

If you would like to sign up for a training class, contact Barbara Tims at TMA at (512) 370-1548.

History:

In 1922, the Texas Medical Association Board of Trustees had a vision of providing members with easy access to clinical information through a "package knowledge center service" as a benefit of membership dues. Today, the vision remains focused on a knowledge center staffed by professionals who provide a vital link between physicians and the overwhelming growth of information in the field of medicine. As a member of the association, you have access to this unique Knowledge Center collection.
