Are You Ready for Health System Reform?

At his recent speech to the nation’s leading physicians at the American Medical Association annual meeting in Chicago, President Obama emphasized the importance of physician participation in the health system reform (HSR) debate. This sharp focus on health care issues presents a landmark opportunity for physicians to address many of the problems they face daily in caring for their patients.

In that vein, Texas Medical Association’s 2009 Fall Conference will cover HSR topics, from medical liability and quality improvement to Medicare payment and health insurance reform. Hear the latest on the debate from TMA’s Health System Reform Task Force, Washington politicos, and your colleagues from across the state!

Modified Schedule for Holiday Weekend!

Because our conference falls on Labor Day weekend, TMA has modified the Saturday schedule so you and your family can enjoy the holiday weekend in Austin or elsewhere. Due to a last-minute change to the date of the Austin City Limits Music Festival in Austin, TMA had to move the conference from October to Sept. 4-5. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may cause you and your family.

After the conference, check out these fun sites and activities in and around Austin.
