TMA-IMG Section Governing Council
Consists of seven members, elected by the Texas Medical
Association International Medical Graduate section members, include the Chair,
Chair-Elect, Secretary, Delegate and Alternate Delegate, and two at-large
positions.
The IMG Governing Council shall have
the responsibility of directing the programs and activities of the section.
Members of the Governing Council are elected during the TMA-IMG Section
Business Meeting at TexMed. Governing
council members shall serve a term of two years beginning at the conclusion of
the annual session at which they are elected.
Duties
Chair – shall preside at business meetings of the section
and at meetings of the Governing Council.
Chair-elect –
shall assist the chair and preside in the absence of the chair or at the
request of the chair.
Secretary – shall maintain such records as may be necessary or
advisable to conduct the activities of the section.
Delegate and alternate
delegate – shall participate in the
deliberations of the Governing Council and shall represent the section in the
House of Delegates.
At-large members – shall participate in all deliberations of the
Governing Council.
