- WHAT: News conference highlighting obstacles physicians face
when caring for Texans on Medicaid, as part of Texas Medical Association’s
(TMA’s) First Tuesdays at the Capitol lobby day.
Physicians from all corners of Texas will discuss improvements needed to
ensure low-income patients receive efficient, quality care in the most
affordable setting. After the news conference, more than 200 physicians
and medical students will visit with hometown legislators and state
leaders about medicine’s legislative priorities detailed in TMA’s Healthy Vision
2020.

largest state medical society in the nation, representing more than 48,000
