Staff Biographical Sketches

Bridget McPhillips, MBA, MAHS, serves as vice president of the TMA Division of Membership and Business Development. Ms. McPhillips has 25 years of health care experience, with expertise in strategic planning, managed care, marketing, and business development.

Peggy Pringle, BS, CMPE, serves as associate vice president of TMA's Practice Managment Services department. Her more than 20 years of diverse health care experience includes business development, marketing, physician recruitment and relations, new practice set ups and hospital administration. Ms. Pringle previously developed a management service organization to manage practices in internal medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, and family practice. She holds a BBA from Houston Baptist University and is a Certified Medical Practice Executive through the Medical Group Management Association. Contact Peggy Pringle.

Heather Bettridge, BA, CPC, CPMA, is a practice management consultant with more than 10 years’ experience in health care. Her expertise includes practice operations, human resource management, coding and documentation audits, financial analysis, and new practice setups. She holds a BA from The University of Texas at Austin and is certified as a professional coder as well as a professional medical auditor by the American Academy of Professional Coders. Julie Willis, CPC, is a practice management consultant with more than 30 years’ healthcare experience, including management of OB/GYN, Orthopedic and Allergy and Immunology practices.  She has managed both large and small group practices, including a large multi-specialty managed care group. Ms. Willis' expertise includes practice operations, human resource management, staff recruitment, and financial analysis. She is a member of Texas MGMA, MGMA, AAPC, and AAMSE. She is certified as a professional coder by the American Academy of Professional Coders. Contact Julie Willis  

Vanessa Madrigal, BS, is a practice management associate with experience in marketing,  customer service, and staff recruitment. Ms. Madrigal handles new physician practice setups and works with the consulting team on all client projects. She also manages departmental marketing, advertising, and finances. Diane C. Cook, CMPE, CHCO is a practice management consultant with more than thirty years of diverse health care experience including management of internal medicine, infectious disease and cardiology practices. Ms. Cook worked for approximately five years in the managed care industry as a field representative and then was promoted to Director of Provider Relations. For ten years, Ms Cook served as CEO for a large cardiology practice. She previously worked as a TMA practice consultant. Her expertise includes financial analysis, staff and physician recruitment, practice efficiencies, and human resources. She is a member of MGMA and the American College of Medical Practice Executives. Contact Diane Cook  

Megan Odell, BHA, is the operations coordinator with experience in practice administration, EHR implementation, and marketing. She coordinates the “Starting in Medical Practice” seminars and assists the department with various client projects, seminars, and distance learning programs.
