• TMA Award for Excellence in Academic Medicine

    • The 2014-15 Cycle Has Closed -- Check Back In Fall 2015 to Apply!

The TMA Award for Excellence in Academic Medicine is a multi-level award program developed to give special recognition to academic physicians who are consummate teachers, role models, and medical professionals.

TMA is eager to recognize Texas physician leaders who have simultaneously dedicated their lives to the care of their patients and to the preparation of the physician workforce of tomorrow. The value of our academic leaders to the family of medicine is priceless.

The award program has four recognition levels, Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. We encourage you to consider your eligibility for these awards and to share this information with your colleagues. This award program not only gives TMA the opportunity to recognize physician leaders for excellence in academic medicine but the award will make a fine addition to your professional portfolio and help you advance in your career.

      Newly Revised Criteria
The TMA Subcommittee for Academic Physicians took to heart the feedback provided after the first two award cycles and have revised the eligibility requirements for each level.  We encourage you to take another look at the eligibility criteria and consider applying.
