Program Helps Patients, Physicians Achieve Better Health

Our lifestyles impact our health. Tobacco and alcohol use, unhealthy eating, and lack of physical activity contribute to a host of chronic diseases, including diabetes, emphysema, high blood pressure, cardiovascular diseases, cancer, and joint pain. Physicians can help their patients improve their health. The Texas Medical Association brings you the American Medical Association (AMA) Healthier Life Steps® program, a patient-physician partnership for a longer, healthier life.
